The King’s HallOn a beautiful hill, the Land of Legends has remade the largest King’s Hall that we know of from the Viking Age in Denmark. The original archaeological finds that the King’s Hall build on are to be found less than 3 kilometers from the Land of Legends, on a field in the village of Gl. Lejre. With a little more than 60 meters from one end to the other, it’s about as long as a football field is wide, and with its rows of big, large posts, the construction has been able to support a building with up to 10 meters to the ceiling. With over 600 m2, the large King’s Hall is a unique witness of the culmination of Nordic architecture and crafts of the Viking Age. Together, we will explore the King’s Hall and come close to the elite, who in the 8th century lived in the Hall with the King. The guide will meet you by Lejre Land of Legends’ Welcome Center.
